Selling Foreign Currency to a Local Person

Q: Prohibitions and Permissions- 10: Is it permissible to sell foreign currency to a local person?

Answer: It will be permissible only if it is not illegal in the country and therefore no danger of being arrested for the act. The transaction is in itself permissible, as detailed in Bahth wan Nazar (Vol,2, No.8 March 1990).
