Question 1209) - What is the obligation of the Kafil [guarantor] in a guarantee of person?

A: He must present the Mokful bihi [the one for whom presentation of a person has been guaranteed]. If a condition of the guarantee was presentation at a specific time, then he is obliged to do so when the Makful lahu [one given the guarantee to] demands him at that time. If he does not present him, then the judge will detain him until he does present him.
